I was born in Jamaica, Queens, grew up in Woodside with my Korean mom and Irish dad, went to PS 199, IS 125, Brooklyn Tech and Queens College, and lived in Queens Village with my wife and kids for the past ten years. I’m NYC through and through, and I’ve taught every imaginable test — from the GMAT to the LSAT — for over 24 years.
I went to the same schools as your kids, hung out at the same malls, and played ball at the same parks. I know what works for reaching and connecting with a NYC kid and what doesn’t, because it’s who I am.
After earning a BA in Theater while teaching for 6 years at Kaplan, I discovered that everything I learned for the stage was a necessary tool for engaging a room full of teens — and the Kennedy Edutainment approach was born.

Entering college as a business major but leaving as an education major, Martha's always had a passion for working with children. From her first internship as a student teacher at P.S. 54 to her years of educating the special needs children at QSAC of Whitestone, Mrs. Kennedy's always loved enriching our youth. Through Kennedy Test Prep in Queens and Long Island, she continues to do just that.
